Hotel rooms, en-suite bedrooms, some with extensive views
All of our light and airy en-suite bedrooms have views over our extensive 2-acre gardens and some over the Axe Valley. All rooms have television, radio, telephone, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities (with Devon fresh milk), soft white duvets and Egyptian cotton towels. Within a few steps of the Edwardian front porch nestles the garden wing. These particularly restful rooms are extremely popular.
Hawkchurch ‘the village of roses’
With its flower filled lanes and ancient hedgerows, Hawkchurch nestles high above the eastern slopes of the River Axe on the Devon and Dorset border.
The area is steeped in history with many of the area’s fine houses, gardens, cathedrals, monasteries, and castles dating back to the time when Sir Francis Drake and Sir Walter Raleigh had homes in the West Country. Because of the area’s prosperous legacy, this area of England abounds with places of historical and architectural interest.
Wonderful gardens...
The mild climate in the South West has created the perfect environment for wonderful gardens to flourish, and garden lovers will discover endless places to visit. The nearby coast is a fossil hunter’s paradise, and for golfers the Lyme Regis has a challenging 18 hole course with superlative views, (please ask us about our reduced green fees for hotel guests).
